New Delhi: Tata 1mg, India’s leading digital healthcare platform, has partnered with Unicommerce, a prominent e-commerce enablement SaaS provider, to optimise its backend logistics and e-commerce operations.

This collaboration aims to accelerate order fulfilment, enhance inventory control, and deliver a seamless shopping experience for health-conscious consumers across 1,000+ cities in India.

With the Indian e-pharmacy market projected to grow from USD 394.09 million in 2024 to USD 801.34 million by 2030, the digital transformation of healthcare services is rapidly gaining momentum.

Tata 1mg’s move is a strategic step towards bolstering its logistics infrastructure and ensuring greater product accessibility in line with growing consumer demand.

Unicommerce’s robust multi-channel order and warehouse management systems are now powering automated order processing, real-time stock monitoring, and data-driven demand forecasting for Tata 1mg.

This ensures the brand can maintain timely availability of products and reduce errors across orders placed on its own website and various online marketplaces.

The Unicommerce integration will significantly improve operational agility, enabling faster delivery of essential items such as protein drinks, diabetes-friendly nutrition, women’s wellness products, and maternity care essentials.

A key innovation in the partnership is the implementation of batch management for safety-critical items. This feature allows quick identification of expired or defective products through real-time alerts, facilitating immediate recalls or prioritising batches nearing expiration—ensuring consumer safety and regulatory compliance.

“As a leading online health & wellness brand, we are committed to delivering a reliable and seamless shopping experience to our customers,” said Ketan Bhatia, Vice President – Consumer Products at Tata 1mg. “Our partnership with Unicommerce strengthens our backend capabilities to serve a wider customer base with efficiency and safety.”

Kapil Makhija, MD & CEO of Unicommerce, added, “We’re proud to support Tata 1mg in their digital journey. As healthcare brands increasingly adopt advanced technologies, our platform enables timely, accurate deliveries—essential for a sector where speed and trust are critical.”

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS), which encourages healthcare stakeholders to digitize operations. With this partnership, Tata 1mg reinforces its leadership in health-tech innovation while setting a benchmark for operational excellence in e-pharmacy.
